Living Your Best Life!

It’s been a while since my last blog post. I appreciate the inquires and feedback. I’m delighted to know the content serves the desired purpose which is to inspire, educate and develop readers.

We are back on the literary track and aspire to continue sharing meaningful and thought provoking content that motivates you to become the best version of yourself!

Can you believe we are nearing the end of another year? They say time flies when you’re having fun. Time does appear to pass more quickly when you’re engaged in activity that you enjoy. Between work, personal travel, preparing for my son’s marriage and life in general, you can say we’re having loads of fun in the Gates household 😀.

There are no complaints. I am grateful to God for opportunities and all of his blessings. According to some, we are living our best life which brings me to the main idea for this post. In recent conversations, I repeatedly heard the phrase “you’re living your best life”. I must have heard it at least 5 times in the past week. This caused me to pause and reflect. It sounds good in theory but what does it actually mean.

The response to the question will vary and the phrase will mean different things to different people. Ephesians 3:20 in the Amplified Bible reads “Now to Him who is able to {carry out His purpose and} do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think {infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams} according to His power that is at work within us”.

God is truly good. My husband and I are experiencing the blessings outlined in this verse. When I think about living my best life, the following things come to mind:

1. Spiritual, physical, emotional and mental health

2. Unconditional love of family and friends

3. Peace of mind, contentment and living authentically

4. Living on purpose and fulfilling my calling from God

5. To bloom where planted and make a global difference

6. Building precious memories with family and friends

7. Leaving a legacy of faith, love and service

The Bible states in John 10:10 (KJV) “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly”.

This verse represents God’s plan for mankind. He desires for each of us to live our best life and has paved the way. Life on this earth will never be perfect. This is likely something you have come to understand over the years. Perhaps we can make the trip more enjoyable if we release our need for perfection, live on purpose, bloom where planted and trust God with the outcome. As Steve Jobs once said, the journey is the reward!

I would love to hear your thoughts. What does it mean to live YOUR best life?

With gratitude,
