Thoughts Matter!

Spring is in the air! Many use this time to declutter living spaces. I have several home projects lined up myself and look forward to checking them off the to-do list. My “Type A” personality and project manager within wants to check the boxes sooner than later. Some of the items have been on a separate ”honey-do” list longer than desired😀. Needless to say, this has caused some frustration for the aforementioned reasons. Schedules are full, work is busy, one friend was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and another passed away due to a terminal illness. If not properly managed, these events can lead to heightened stress levels and negative emotions. As I reflected upon my day and mentally prepared for the next, I was reminded of my blessings and the importance of taking our thoughts captive as instructed in 2 Corinthians 10:5. In the grand scheme of things, what’s most important in life? For me it’s faith, time with family and friends, memories and experiences. I enjoy an organized space. However, I can deal with the temporary messes in my home. When tempted to focus on the negative, we can look around and give thanks for life and all it’s benefits. While surfing the internet, I ran across the image below and was reminded that thoughts matter. As such, let’s shift our thinking, count our blessings and grow flowers this spring!
